New Coffee Service For Heathrow Express Passengers

Now Heathrow Express riders can pick up a quick cup of coffee at two new Nero Express Kiosks: at Terminal 5, located between the dedicated Heathrow Express train platforms and at Heathrow Central (Terminals 1, 2 and 3), located opposite the Heathrow Express office at Terminal 2 and 3.

“Superb coffee has never been closer to the trains, whether visitors have arrived from a late night or early morning flight or just want a coffee before departing Heathrow Airport,” says Graeme Hay, commercial director at Heathrow Express. “Since its launch 10 years ago, Heathrow Express has never offered a catering service. We wanted to team up with a premium independent coffee retailer who shared the same customer service ethos as Heathrow Express.”

About 30 million people have traveled on Heathrow Express, operated by BAA, since it was launched in June 1998. Heathrow Express leaves every 15 minutes from London’s Paddington station to Heathrow Airport. Passengers can get to Heathrow Central (Terminals 1, 2 and 3) in 15 minutes and Terminal 5 six minutes later.

Caffè Nero Group Ltd was founded in 1997 and is the largest independent coffee house brand in the UK, with over 360 Caffè Nero stores nationwide. The kiosk division, Nero Express, was established in 2007. There are now 15 Nero Express Kiosks and small stores across the UK.

Coffee is the most popular drink worldwide with over 400 billion cups consumed each year, of which 31 billion cups are drunk in the UK. Over half of the espresso consumed in the UK is drunk in the Southeast of the country.
